About eZABU

The concept of eZABU was created in 2004, and was fully developed and implemented in the spring of 2009 by its founder Lawrence Lewis. The vision of eZABU is to create a Cambell River focussed online business and community magazine integrating modern social media like: Facebook, Twitter, Blogs and the eZABU social network platform. eZABU provides current news, events and happenings, and articles from local contributors, community members, business and professionals, and its own staff in a manner that utilizes the full benefit and utility of the World Wide Web and social media techniques.

eZABU provides a current and interesting approach to developing and creating modern communities online, and is intended to service the greater Campbell River area. Unlike other web techniques and online media, eZABU is client and member driven. Not only can you adjust the level of interaction and notification as desired, including feeds to your present social media, RSS and blogs, eZABU’s overall content will be largely defined by what its visitors, clients, and members want to read, hear, and view.

eZABU has two central and overlapping missions.

The first is about connecting all Campbell Riverites through eZABU’s micro-communities online and through effective use of modern social media. eZABU’s platform and robust intelligence creates a seamless and easy interaction between people like never before and in realtime.  It is our hope and purpose to create eZABU as the central point at which the news, events, opportunities and challenges effecting our community are shared, discussed and debated (and if we can have a little fun along the way and build a stronger community…SO BE IT!) 

The second part is to develop and provide a truly useful medium for business to engage and interact with our community, with an intent and attitude that builds and supports local small business, and creates a vibrant local economic engine. We believe in the importance and value of small business as the life-blood of any community and we want to do our part to help build the wonderful community that is Campbell River through supporting small and local business in a meaningful way…by sharing the web toolbox that will help build their business and success.
